Pictures Guide The following Wedding Pictures Guide is intended to illustrate the most common pictures taken during Weddings. There can be several variations to each picture, but we thought important to use the most traditional or classical ones to serve as a general outline or guidance of what a professional wedding photo shoot should include.

We’ve split the Wedding Day in 4 segments and added an optional after the wedding event, they appear in the order most used in Destination Weddings:

Getting Ready Pictures
Pictures of the bride getting ready and interacting with the members of her entourage are on the must-have list.  Shots of the groom together with the groomsmen getting ready sometimes are difficult to take because of logistics, preference is always given to the bride. In such case, pictures of the groom and groomsmen right before the ceremony spending time together could do the job.

The Ceremony
This is it: the main event. Everything that happens during the Ceremony will only happen once, so the wedding photographer has to make every shot count. Procession of the Bridal Party, Groom waiting, Bride and Father walking down the aisle, Unity Ceremony, exchange of Rings, The Kiss and The Couple’s exit are amongst the pictures that will tell the story of what came to pass in that special event.

After the Ceremony Portraits

After The Ceremony Portraits
The time between the ceremony and the reception is often the only time available to get pictures of the couple with their Family, Friends, Wedding Party and other important Guests.  After these pictures are taken all the attention focuses on the most important people of the day: the Bride and Groom. A full session of pictures of the Couple in different poses and locations within the surrounding area takes place.

Reception
Finally it’s Party time !!!  The serious part of the day for the Couple is over and their goal is to share the joy they are feeling with their Guests. The photographer’s main objective is to take wonderful images that convey both the look and feel of the festivities.  Bride and Groom arriving, First Dance, Wedding Cake, Toasts, Guests Dancing, Bouquet throwing, Garter tossing, silly happenings, etc… these pictures will make you relive all the joy you experienced in your very special celebration.
